Fashion exhibitions are a personal favourite of mine and I’ve been to several over the years. I remember loving a Christian Lacroix exhibition held at the National Museum of Singapore in 2009, Chanel’s Little Black Dress exhibition at the ArtScience Museum in 2013, seeing Prada’s Pradasphere exhibition in Hong Kong in 2014 (see my post here) and more recently, a Guo Pei exhibition at the Asian Civilisations Museum in 2019 (see my post here).
I’m no fashion person, but I do love visiting such exhibitions and seeing the beautiful pieces up close and on display. It’s always a privilege when these exhibitions are held in Singapore/Hong Kong and I’m always grateful for the chance to see them. :) In April, Louis Vuitton’s 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: The Exhibition arrived in Singapore and I was very excited to check out the fun and creative showcase of the wide variety of trunks.
While I love beautiful exhibitions featuring exquisite pieces and photography, I also enjoy fun and more relaxed exhibitions like this one too! It was pretty exciting to hear that Singapore was the second stop for this exhibition after France. The exhibition was here for three weeks in April, located at a great location at Marina Bay Sands and is now continuing to travel to a few other cities around the world. Here are some of my favourite snapshots from the exhibition I wanted to remember and share!
200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries: The Exhibition was held in Singapore from 4 – 27 April 2022 at the Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza. Free admission. More details here.
