Late spring in Hong Kong (when it’s not raining) is quite lovely. It’s usually a comfortable 24-27 degrees in the day and mildly windy enough that you don’t really sweat. Perfect! I’m enjoying the season at the moment and wanted to share some snapshots from the Hong Kong Flower Show 2017 to go with it.
The Hong Kong Flower Show is an annual spring event in Hong Kong that takes place in March, but since it’s still springtime, I’m not too late in sharing this! This year, the theme flower was the rose and since that is one of my favourite flowers, I was pretty excited to go! I enjoyed the displays much more this year compared to last year’s, so here are some highlights. :) (Click here to see some snapshots from the 2015 flower show.)
I’d describe the displays at the HK Flower Show as quite random and usually containing a mix of all sorts of designs and themes, but it’s okay. To me, that’s what makes the Hong Kong Flower Show what it is haha! Plus, with the affordable ticket price (HK$14), I don’t hold particular high expectations. ;)
All in all, visiting this flower show is like a colourful, flower filled (and extremely crowded) walk through a small park. It’s exactly what you would expect from a Hong Kong based nature themed event. :)
